Dinah O. Correia
CE Director Administrative Assistant
Born and raised in Bermuda, Dinah accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of 12 years, on Port’s Island, during church camp. While in her late teen years, as she attended the Word of Life Bible Institute, counseling at the Ranch and Island, the Lord used the circumstances of a young girl from Brooklyn, New York, in Dinah’s life, to question life’s issues.
During the summer of 1979, on the Word of Life Ranch, she re-dedicated her life to full-time service. Following graduation from the Word of Life Bible Institute, and after coming home to work for a brief time and attending school for accountancy, the Lord led her to apply to the Child Evangelism Fellowship Leadership Training Institute in Warrenton, Missouri. After graduation and attaining her teacher certification, and after a nine month internship with CEF staff as a Teacher Training Instructor, Dinah also taught Good News Clubs in public schools, conducted backyard 5-Day Clubs and supervised the summer missions programs, as well as directed day camps and island-wide rallies. She accepted a short assignment to teach at the Maypen Bible Institute in Jamaica and Trinidad. In 1986, Dinah was appointed the local CEF Bermuda Director.
In 1988, Dinah was challenged to pray and consider joining her home church in a full-time position in the area of Director of Christian Education and Office Administration. In 1989, after 10 years of ministry with CEF Bermuda, Dinah accepted the position to become a staff member at The Evangelical Church of Bermuda, working alongside Pastor Richard Etner, until June of that year. Dinah has enjoyed 20 years of ministry to this present date, under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Richard D. Christen, where she oversees the Christian Education Program at the church, and manages the church office.

James (Bobby) Barton
Custodian
Bobby accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior 52 years ago, at a “Youth For Christ” meeting, held in Alexandria Hall. He then began attending The Evangelical Church of Bermuda (then known as the “Portuguese Evangelical Church”) and has been a faithful member ever since.
For almost 40 years, Bobby worked in a grocery retail business and, upon his retirement, began custodial duties at a friend’s office and, subsequently, at the church and the new Multi Purpose Centre.
At 80 years of age, Bobby is still very active being an ambassador for Bermuda – taking many visitors to experience his snorkeling expertise, and sometimes their first look at God’s wonder, in our beautiful waters. Bobby loves children and is actively involved with our Olympian Club program, each Friday evening.
