Church Choir
The Church Choir was formed in the mid-1930’s and would sing at the Sunday services.
However, the congregation at that time were used to singing songs “by ear” and not by the way the songs were written. Sadly this led to conflict and the disbanding of the Choir by the end of the year.
Thankfully, Rev. John P. Santos encouraged the sounds of music to begin again, in 1946, through the establishment of a Portuguese Evangelical Church Choir. From that time onward, God’s Word has always been presented through the music of the Choir, as well as the joyful singing of hymns with the entire congregation.
